English news outlet 'Sky Sports' reports that the Northern Ireland international has moved to the top of City boss Pep Guardiola's wishlist as the Spaniard continues to search for defensive reinforcements this summer.
Some sources have gone as far as saying that ther 'Baggies' have rejected one approach from City for their skipper though those claims are as of yet unconfirmed.
There has been no shortage of interest in Evans this summer, with Leicester already having seen two bids for the 29-year-old turned down.
Evans joined Tony Pulis' side from Manchester United in 2015 and has established himself as one of the Premier League's most consistent defenders, making 63 appearances in all competitions for the 'Baggies'.
