Draxler holds the key to Coutinho's Barcelona switch

It seems Philippe Coutinho's departure from Liverpool is just a matter of time. The Brazilian was willing to leave Anfield and try his luck at Barcelona, but his exit was thwarted by the Premier League outfit. Today, it seems almost inevitable that he will join the Catalans.

Interestingly enough, Paris Saint-Germain could make the switch happen. The French club swooped in for then-Barcelona star Neymar this summer, but they could make up for it by assisting in Coutinho's move to the Camp Nou.

As revealed by Sky Sports, Jurgen Klopp has identified his target to replace the wantaway Brazilian. Julian Draxler is the objective, and at first glance, his move to Merseyside does not seem overly complicated.

The German winger does not want to remain at Paris Saint-Germain. The arrivals of Neymar and Mbappe have seen him drop out of the starting lineup and he is eager to find a new team where he is allowed to play and develop his game. If he decides to swap Paris for Liverpool, the Reds could sign off on Coutinho's exit, putting an end to the tense situation between the boards of Barca and Liverpool. It is all down to Draxler.
