Speaking on Spanish radio show 'El Transistor' on 'Onda Cero', Martinez claimed that Antoine Griezmann is Messi and Suarez's preferred option to strengthen the Barca attack, with the Barca stars considering him to be the perfect player to compliment the talents already on show at the Camp Nou.
"Coutinho and Griezmann are Barca's top two targets. Surprisingly, Suarez and Messi prefer the idea of signing Griezmann than Dybala for example," he explained.
Dybala has been regularly linked with a move to the Camp Nou in the past, particularly after a virtuoso performance against the Spanish giants in the Champions League last season, but he is going through something of a rough patch of late after starting the season like a house on fire.
The 24-year-old has only scored twice in his last 10 Serie A games and has yet to find the net in the Champions League so far this season, though he still maintains respectable figures of 14 goals in 23 games in all competitions.
Meanwhile, whilst Griezmann is certainly not enjoying his best campaign in front of goal either, Barca's attacking contingent see him as a more complete player and one of the best in Europe in his position.
.@Alfremartinezz: "Coutinho y Griezmann son los dos objetivos del Barça. Sorprendentemente Suárez y Messi ven mejor el fichaje de Griezmann que el de por ejemplo Dybala" https://t.co/7kEvFNGdb7
