Speaking following the Coupe de la Ligue victory over Strasbourg, Verratti hailed PSG's illustrious opponents, saying that the Ligue 1 pacesetters will have to be at their best to get something from the game.
"We will have to play two perfect games to beat Real Madrid," he explained.
Despite the potential for failure, the Italian did nothing to play down the enormity of the encounter.
"It's the best game in the this year's Champions League last 16, it's the one that everyone is going to follow," he admitted.
With that in mind, Verratti also admitted that PSG must beat teams of Real Madrid's stature if they are to achieve their ultimate goal: "PSG have to play against the best teams if they want to win the Champions League," he concluded.
