According to Spanish publication 'Marca', Iniesta is closer than ever to bringing his time at Barca to an end and heading for the CSL.
The Spanish international has a mega-money offer on the table to up sticks and begin his retirement in the far East and whilst it had previously been thought that Iniesta would end his career in Catalonia, that eventuality is looking less likely by the day.
Despite signing a "contract for life" earlier this season, the 33-year-old is able to opt to part way with the club at the end of each season and Barca believe that this may be the player's last in their famous 'blaugrana' colours.
As such, the club have moved to find a replacement of the requisite quality for a man who has been running the Barca midfield for well over a decade. The concerns over Iniesta's future explain why Barca moved so quicky to agree an option to buy for Gremio's Arthur.
Now that deal has been agreed it allows Barca and Iniesta to sit down and discuss what the player's next move will be, though his comments following the win over Chelsea in midweek when he said that he would decide his future by the end of April appeared to suggest that he is more likely to bid the club farewell in the summer than return for pre-season.
