Pep Guardiola's Manchester City side have struggled of late and find themselves outside of the top four, 10 points off leaders Chelsea.
Many have started to doubt the Catalan's credentials, stating that his success at Barcelona was largely down to having Lionel Messi and a star-studded line-up, and that his success at Bayern Munich was due to a relatively weak league.
However, Man City defender Aleksandar Kolarov believes that the former Barca and Bayern coach is the best in the world, and thinks that the Citizens are still in the title race.
"For all the players it is a great pleasure to play under him because he’s the best coach in the football at the moment," he told the club's official website.
"As players we can improve and we need to win more games but we are just at the beginning of a journey and I think we’ll get better and better.
"I still think the title race will go to the very last day and we have to make sure we’re involved".
The Serbian also thinks that the side has been playing well, but an inability to take chances has led to some disappointing results.
"We just need to turn more games into wins because we’ve dominated some matches but not ended up winning," he added.
"Every game is tough in the Premier League whether they are at the top or the bottom. Guardiola wants us to be 100 per cent professional in everything we do - if we want to win things, every small detail is important".
