The 'Incredible Ronaldo': more goals in Europe than 463 teams

Cristiano Ronaldo has scored 116 goals in the Champions League throughout his career, more than anyone else in the history of the tournament. His numbers are so outstanding that he surpasses 463 of the 511 teams that have participated in both the defunct European Cup and the current format, which came out just 15 years ago. 

Of the 48 clubs who have scored more than him, the 33-year-old is only two away from teams such as FC Copenhagen, Club Bruges KV, Fenerbahce and Sporting Lisbon, who he could easily surpass if Zinedine Zidane's team continue to progress in the competition.

In Spain, only Real Madrid, Barcelona, Valencia and Atletico Madrid have netted more than Ronaldo. Although he has bagged more goals than his Madrid rivals if you were only to count those scored during the Champions League phase from 1992-93.

Of the 926 goals secured by Real throughout their history in Europe, the Portugal star has wrote his name next to 12.6 per cent of them - a sensational number that speaks volumes to 'Los Blancos' dependence on their forward.
